All parents want the best for our children. Often, though, this is translated into unrealistically high expectations at home and at school. Like all of us, children don’t meet these high expectations all the time. So when they receive the message “you have failed”, children need their parents to deal with their feelings, and to learn from the challenging experience.

As parents or teachers, how capable are you in building our children’s resilience?

This 3-hour workshop will cover the following:

  • Challenges and psychological needs children may face in early childhood
  • How to manage emotions such as anger, sadness and fears
  • Building strong parent-child relationships

The session will be interactive, with hands-on activities.

For whom:

  • Parents of primary school children
  • Parents, with pre-school children, who want to be prepared for the coming changes
  • Head of pupil welfare/development and other department heads
  • Teachers who are interested in socio-emotional learning
Based on Wendy Chua K. Wand’s work with children, this workshop will be interactive and use real-plays and exercises so that participants experience the impact of the processes.  It will open participant’s eyes, minds and hearts to the internal thoughts and emotions of children, and to supporting kids through their changes.
